Carmen Colon, 61 of Jefferson, died on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at her home.
Carmen was born on December 16, 1956 in Guayama, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Margaro and Virginia (Rodriguez) Colon. She was one of 18 children. She worked as a teacher in Puerto Rico and as a lead person at Mastermold of Johnson Creek, WI for 20 plus years. She was married on September 15, 2017 to Ricardo Castellon at her home in Jefferson. She loved to dance, was a happy lady. She was a wonderful cook and shared her talents with many. She was hardworking and a very independent provider, who raised her 3 children on her own. She enjoyed the outdoors and she was a content person who never complained. Her grandchildren were very special to her and she would spoil them. She loved scratch-off tickets and although she tried many times, could never ride a bike. Carmen was a loved deeply by her family and will be missed.
Carmen is survived by: her Husband Ricardo Castellon of Jefferson; Children Joyce (Fernando Medina) Rodriguez, Karla Rodriguez, and Javier Rodriguez all of Jefferson; Grandchildren Yadier, Nayomi, Yoani, Leslie, and Giovanni; 16 siblings; and her Cousin Magaly Rodriguez of Jefferson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and Nephew Luis Colon.
A celebration of Carmen’s life will be held at a later date.
