Dwane G. Tomczak, 68 of Helenville, died on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center of Johnson Creek.
Dwane was born on July 1, 1950 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Gerald and Dorothy (Peffers) Tomczak. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1969 and served in the US Navy as a Seabee, and later in the Air Force Reserves with the Combat Support Unit. He moved to Arizona in 1996 and he worked as a Postal Clerk with the USPS. In 2015, he moved back to Helenville to be near family. Dwane was a gambler and enjoyed the thrill of a potential big win. He was particular about his things and always had a clean car and the latest and greatest electronics. Dwane was a great dad and he loved his children. He was good at keeping in touch with family and friends via his cell phone. He was a special guy who will be dearly missed.
Dwane is survived by: his Mother Dorothy Tomczak of Helenville; Children Adam (Lori) Kelley of PA, Amanda Kobleske, and Sahra Tomczak both of AZ, 2 grandchildren; and Siblings Dwight (Bobbie) Tomczak of Jefferson, David (Wendy) Tomczak of Fort Atkinson, and Terry (Donna) Tomczak of Rome. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dwane is preceded in death by his father.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Rainbow Hospice and the Madison VA Hospital for the loving care provided.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
