Joyce M. Johnson, 60 of Jefferson, died peacefully on Friday, September 28, 2018 at home with her family.
Joyce was born on December 20, 1957 in Fort Atkinson, WI, the daughter of LeRoy and Lila (Roloff) Johnson. She is a 1978 graduate of Jefferson High School and worked at Hamlin Inc. of Lake Mills for 30 years, Wal-Mart in Jefferson for 8 years and a recent 2 years at Jefferson Memory Care. Joyce was a hard worker and considered returning recently – her spirit was willing, but her body wasn’t able. She was an avid snow globe collector and “B-Movie” connoisseur. Joyce enjoyed researching ancestral history and she took pleasure in putting others before herself. Joyce was an animal lover, enjoyed scrapbooking, always wore a smile, and laughed often. She was loved dearly by her family and friends and will be missed.
Joyce is survived by: her son Jasper Johnson of Jefferson; siblings Donna (Jim) Evans of Orchid, CA, Roy (Susan) Johnson of Jefferson, Tina (Mark) Scott of Gulf Shores, AL, Steve (Charleen) Johnson of Helenville, Cynthia (Scott) Howard of Jefferson, Chris Johnson of Fort Atkinson, Brenda (Curtis) Atwood of Auburn, CA, David Endl of Auburn, CA, and Dawn (Roger) Ganser of Jefferson. She is also survived by a number niece, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, step-father Aaron Endl, brother Mark Johnson, and her cat Sarah.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joyce’s honor to the family would be appreciated.
