Kenneth A. “Skid” Munro, 67 of Helenville, died on Friday, February 23, 2018 at his home.
Kenneth was born on September 3, 1950 in Watseka, IL, the son of Sidney and Lenore (Luecke) Munro. The Munro family purchased a farm and moved to Helenville in the early 1960’s. Kenneth is a 1968 graduate of Jefferson High School and worked as an Agriculture Mechanic for most of his life. He loved dartball, watching NASCAR, and his son race. He was very involved in the Helenville Hill Hoppers Snowmobile Club for many years. Most of all, he loved his family and was a loving, devoted father and grandfather. He made himself available whenever his help was needed. He was a long-time member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church of Helenville. “Skid” was a quiet man, but very well-known and loved. He will be missed.
Kenneth is survived by: his Children Kimberly (Ralph) Meschke of Watertown, Kyle (Kara) of Janesville, and Kendra (Jason) Burnett of Fort Atkinson; Grandchildren Candice, Sean, Sheldon, Claire, and Tobias; Brothers Dennis (Jane) of Berlin, Victor (Barb) of Fort Atkinson, Roger (Anne) of Shepherdstown, WV, and Steven (Sue) of Sun Prairie. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a Sister, Kristy Kay in infancy.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Friday, March 2, 2018 at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church of Helenville with Rev. Mark Swanson presiding. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. He will be buried at a later date.
