Sharon S. Kernodle, 78 of Watertown, died peacefully on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at her home.
Sharon was born on May 26, 1940 in Indianapolis, IN, the daughter of Clifford and Geneva (Hoyt) Mahan. On February 14, 1964, she married John Kernodle, the couple had 4 children and Sharon worked as a nurse. Sharon was the opposite of her husband. He, bigger than life, never met a stranger – type guy, and she a classic introvert. Sharon had no desire to be center stage and constantly put others before herself. She was a sacrificial servant, and her patients would often compliment her nursing skill and even request her care on following visits. Sharon accepted Christ as a teenager and those that knew her are thankful that today, she is with the Lord. Her sweet, compassionate spirit will be missed.
She is survived by: her Children Gary (Mary) Kernodle of Sullivan, and Robin (Mithen) Loska of Watertown; 6 Grandchildren Johnathan, Ryan, Katelyn, Jakan, Ethan, and Larkan; and a Sister Sandra Wheeler of Brownsburg, IN. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2008, Sons Gregory and John in infancy, and 2 grandchildren in infancy.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the K of P Cemetery of Lizton, IN with Rev. David Kaneversky of The Bible Church of Brownsburg, IN presiding.
