Yvonne L. Krause, 103 of Jefferson, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Angel’s Grace Inpatient Center of Oconomowoc.
Yvonne was born on March 31, 1915 in Madison, WI, the daughter of Walter and Irene (Beidelman) Messerschmidt. She is a 1933 graduate of Lake Mills High School and on January 15, 1946, she married Raymond G. Krause in Lake Mills. The couple had two children and enjoyed 51 years of marriage until his death in 1997. Yvonne worked for 20 years at The Drug Store of Jefferson doing whatever was asked of her and was loved by the people she served. She was a kind lady with a cute sense of humor and had an ability to make people feel special. Raymond and Yvonne treasured the Jefferson community and were crowned Gemuetlichkeit King and Queen in 1975. Yvonne was a long-time and very active member of Immanuel United Methodist Church. Raymond and Yvonne loved to ballroom dance and she was a prolific painter, also enjoying quilting and crafting. Yvonne was a helper and was very generous with her time. She loved life to the fullest – all 103 years. She was a dear lady who will be greatly missed.
She is survived by: her Children Wayne (Ella) of Pewaukee, and Yvette (David) Conte of Kansas City, MO; Grandson Timothy (Elsa) Medford; Great-Granddaughters Cheryl (Ryan) Smith, and Erika Medford; and Great, Great-Grandchildren twins Hailey and Eddie Smith. Yvonne is also survived by a number of other relatives and many friends.
Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and Sisters Corrine Raduege and Marguerite Heyse.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Immanuel United Methodist Church of Jefferson with Rev. James Rivers presiding. Visitation will take place from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Yvonne will be laid to rest at Rock Lake Cemetery of Lake Mills following the service.
