Brian C. Wilson Sr., died on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center of Johnson Creek.
Brian was born in Fort Atkinson, WI, on January 9, 1963, the son of Joseph and Ramona (King) Wilson. He attended Fort Atkinson High School and later earned his GED. He worked as an Industrial Cleaner for many years. Brian was a talented artist, and he spent many hours honing his craft. He made American Indian Jewelry of all sorts, made “Peace Sticks”, and decorated bird feather that he gave as cherished gifts. Basketball was a passion, especially with his sons. He loved listening to Jimmy Hendrix and the Grateful Dead. Brian helped raise his grandchildren and loved his family dearly. He will be remembered for his wild spirit. Brian C. Wilson Sr., Wapishke Maiingan (translated White Wolf in Ojibwe), will be deeply missed.
Brian is survived by: is children Brian Wilson Jr. of Fort Atkinson, Damian Wilson of Lake Mills, Cody Wilson of Fort Atkinson, and Samantha Wilson of Milwaukee; 5 grandchildren; and his siblings Julia (Art) Zimmerman of Jefferson, Elizabeth Wilson of Lake Mills, Jerald Wilson of Green Bay, Donald Wilson of the Twin Cities, and Virginia (Michael) Geronimo of Virginia. Brian is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents and siblings.
An open house to honor Brian’s life will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023, his 60th Birthday, from 10:00AM – 12:00PM at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home of Jefferson. Brian will be returned to the earth at 1:30PM on Monday at the Natural Path Sanctuary of Verona, a green cemetery and part of the Linda and Gene Farley Center for Peace, Justice, and Sustainability.
