Donna J. Giese

Donna J. Giese, 82 of Jefferson, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 5, 2022 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center of Johnson Creek.

Donna was born on March 17, 1940 in Columbus, WI, the daughter of Gustave and Doris (Blazing) Buss.  She graduated from Waterloo High School in the late 1950’s and on April 15, 1958 she married Raymond T. Wolfgram at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church of Waterloo.  He preceded her in death in 1983.  She met Lemuel Brisk and the couple spent 6 years together until his death in 1989.  She loved him dearly and referred to him as her “common-law husband”.  On November 25, 1994, she married Harold Giese.  Donna and Harry enjoyed 23 of marriage until his death in 2017.  She had 4 children.  Donna was spunky lady and a dedicated bus driver for 20 years.  She loved her “kids” on the bus and treated them well.  Donna loved to take trips to local casinos on Sundays and even won on occasion.  She was a dedicated caregiver to her brother-in-law Ronald and loved him deeply.  The memory of Donna J. Giese will be cherished.

She is survived by: her dear friends Joanne (Eric) Rueth and Scott (Jill) Johnson, Jean Brawders and family, Karen Warnlof, neighbors Dan and Pat, and Ellie Demetropoulos all of Jefferson; 3 children; a number of grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

Donna is preceded in death by: her parents, both husbands, a common-law husband, a son, her brother-in-law Ronald Giese, and a number of other relatives.

A funeral open house will be held from 2:00PM – 4:00PM on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home of Jefferson.  Donna will be laid rest on Monday, September 12, 2022 at the Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.
