Kathie J. Croce

Kathie J. Croce, 71 of Jefferson, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at her home in Jefferson.

Kathie was born August 20, 1950, in Waukesha, WI, the daughter of Charles and Laura (Smith) Hanson. She grew up in a family of 8 and loved her family dearly. She married John Croce on May 3, 1999. Kathie was a dog lover, especially her own dog Nadia. In her free time, she enjoyed thrifting at St. Vincent De Paul and Goodwill. She also loved camping and the outdoors, particularly the time she spent in Sedona, AZ, with her son Shanon. Above all else, family meant the most to Kathie. She cherished time spent with her own children and her grandchildren, as well as anyone else’s grandkids who needed an adoptive grandmother. Christmas was Kathie’s favorite holiday, and she always went all out to decorate her home. Kathie was an especially good aunt to Renee’s kids and was excited that her granddaughter Angel had recently moved in behind her home. Kathie’s favorite sibling was her brother Charlie, but all her siblings were close to her heart. She will be deeply missed.

Kathie is survived by: her sons David (Lisa) Harsany of Oconomowoc, Shanon (Blanca Marquez) Harsany of Surprise, Az, Jason Hart of Madison; grandchildren Riley, Brittany, Nyah Rose, Zach, Angel, Olivia, Troy and Brett; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings Mervin Hanson, Charles (Diane Gallagher) Hanson, David (Sally) Hanson, Gerald Hanson, Michael (Cheryl) Hanson, Rick (Adriane) Hanson and Renee (Steve) Weide. Kathie is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Kathie is preceded in death by her parents, husband John Croce, and sister Rose Sorcic.

A Celebration of life will be held from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Jones Park in Fort Atkinson. Friends and family are invited to come and share an afternoon of remembrance for Kathie. Kathie will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery next to her sister Rose at a later date.
